Does anyone know if VoiceOver is available for the Ipod Touch in software update 3.0? I want to try installing it on my parrent's Ipod to give it a try and determine weather I should buy an Ipod touch. I don't want to spend $10 to find out if the software includes voiceover though.

My gut tells me that I doubt it. I updated a friends iPhone the other day to V 3.0 to find that there was no Voice over in the update. Bummer!

Voice over on the touch currently doesn't exist - the 3.0 software update doesn't provide it. Ipods are usually revamped in september and this will probably include the cpu upgrade to 600 mhz that the i phone has been given.
@2 this is incorrect, v3.0 does come with voice over.

Yes, v3 on a new iPhone comes with VO but updating a 3g from the 2.1 to V3.0 will not give you the VO option!

thats odd cuz apple led us to believe all these features were included in V3 on all 3g and 3gs iphones .. can someone contact apple to varify this?

No, actually they didn't. Read the chart over on Apple's website. The 3gs has the processor power to run voiceover, but the older processors do not.
